resurvey of the state. Resurvey is in progress all over Kerala
The Main function of the department is to complete the resurvey of the state. The department also undertake inter-departmental services (G2G) such as Pattaya survey, LRM Services, Interstate boundary survey, various acquisition works for the developmental activities of the State. The department in the recent times has ushered in technological advancement by introducing modern survey equipment such as CORS Network, Global Positioning Systems, Electronic Total Stations and CAD Software for preparation of sketches on computers.

RESURVEY
Resurvey of the State and Preparation of land records based on the existing limits of occupancy would facilitate the speedy implementation of land records and collection of agricultural statistics.
TRAINING
Training of modern survey equipments like Total station, DGPS etc. were conducted by MGRTCS . Training for revenue officers (Chain survey and higher survey) , 3 months chain survey for private students were also conducted by the department.

E-Rekha is an internet based survey records data directory of the state that allow the users to explore information related to the cadastral data pertaining to the Survey &Land Records department of the State.
